Welcome!!

Welcome to A Barking Tiger Production - a blog dedicated to documenting the remainder of our pregnancy and the life of our little guy after his arrival in July :) If you're wondering about the name of the blog, based on the Chinese Zodiac Joe was born in the year of the Tiger and his best friend and business partner, Aaron was born in the year of the Dog and so they named their music production company Barking Tiger Productions. Since I was also born in the year of the Dog and the baby will be coming in the year of the Tiger we thought a spin off of their business name would be cute for our "production". And so A Barking Tiger Production was born . . . and will be born :)

While we were in Mexico last month visiting Joe's family we finally decided on a name for the baby - we knew his middle name would be Joe but had been going back and forth on his first name. I wanted something related to this man that was such an important part of my life and is missed so much every day but I couldn't quite swallow naming my son Stanley :P Throughout my whole life he never pronounced my name just right but instead called me "Christian" and so I thought that would be a perfect name for baby and luckily Joe agreed. So come July our son will be named Christian Joe Saldana and this is where his story will be told if you'd like to follow along.

Our pregnancy has been blessedly uneventful so far - besides the normal first trimester sickness all doctors appointments have gone well and tests have been normal. Besides being large and slightly uncomfortable I feel very well and am looking forward to a healthy son :) Yesterday we took our first belly pic at 25 weeks:
